I loved your description of the difference between the toxic wellness version of men vs women. So true! A slicked bun never looked good on the shape of my head anyway.
Bianca! Thank you so much for reading! I’m so happy it resonated. Also, me too, I tried the sleek low bun and it makes me look like a HR manager about to deliver bad, bad news… ;)
Aww Jake, it’s not easy to raise daughters in this world! I don’t have kids myself but I empathise deeply with parents trying to navigate it all, there’s way too much pressure on them at a super young age. Absolutely delighted that the post resonated!!
Absolutely yes to all of this 🙌🏻 I’ve been feeling the same tension on how wellness - something meant to reconnect us to ourselves - so easily turns into another performance arena. Most people don’t burn out because they lack discipline, they burn out because they are chasing an identity that was never meant to be theirs - borrowed routine, metric, ideal of what “healthy” looks like.

All of these hit hard for me!!!! The morning routine was funny, the beauty trends are scary and alarming as a girl dad.

"What there IS evidence for? Consistent sleep."

Removing IG and FB from my phone was one of the biggest game changers for me in 2025.
And, as an added bonus, I know nothing about Bryan Johnson's morning erections.
Kevin this made me laugh out loud. LUCKY YOU!! 🤣
“Critical thinking is wellness. Questioning the wellness industry is wellness.”
Love this take.
Thank you so much!
This was a great read. And I agree. Eat more vegetables and get some sleep x
