This is such a wonderful read, Noemie! One of my favorite perspectives comes from Michelangelo. When asked how he sculpted the statue of David, he replied, “It’s simple. I just removed everything that wasn’t David.”
We already possess everything we need to be happy, thriving individuals.
It’s just that we’re often buried beneath layers of self-doubt, noise, and things that make us feel like shit.
The work isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about remembering who we’ve always been.
It is! There is profound wisdom found in slowing down rather than adding more boxes to check in the name of personal growth. Thanks for shining a light on this. ❤️
Again, Noemie, I resonated with everything you've written here -- specifically, getting real with where I'm **truly** at and getting honest with what I **truly** want and why I want it (your point 2). The clarity and self-understanding I've gotten from your pieces has been enlightening (thank you for your two recommendations). As such, I will add one thing to my plate and that is to carve out time to read your previous Substack posts. ❤️
Ohh nooo! Yes sometimes be careful what your goals are, you might reach them and hate everything about the experience!! I'm so thrilled to hear it resonated :) you made my day!

What a beautiful note Ryan, and thank you for sharing this quote! It is all about peeling back the layers :)
